Overflow Parking

Overflow Parking Plan

The Extension Center provides meeting space for up to 150 people in its Annex. The space is used frequently throughout the year by varioius community organizations as well as for The Master Gardeners Training Program, held each winter. Overflow parking for events is located beneath a stand of white pines just behind the proposed lot, are unfavorable. The need to provided a solution has motivated us to make this overflow lot renovation a priority.

Overflow Parking Lot
The current lot is located
beneath a stand of white pines and was not designed to accomodate cars or storm water.

Existing Parking Lot
Persons attending programs at the Extension Center are forced to squeeze their cars in where ever they can, often times blocking emergency and service vehicle access to the building.

Tire Erosion Impact
Erosion and rutting problems plague the existing overflow lot. Damage to existing pine tree root systems is undetermined.
