Roles & Responsibilities of Land Use CommissionsThe Roles and Responsibilities of Land Use Commissions workshop is a part of CLEAR's Land Use Academy (see note below). Upon occasion, it may also be taught as a standalone class. This workshop examines the duties, options and interactions of local land use commissions, including planning, zoning, appeals, conservation, inland wetlands and economic development. Emphasis is on the enabling legislation behind the commissions, as well as significant court cases that affect decision-making.
As a standalone workshop it is free of charge and is 2-3 hours long. Contact Jim Gibbons at jim.gibbons@uconn.edu or call (860) 345-4511 to set up a workshop. |
