More about Dr. Campbell:

Warren Campbell is the Hall Professor of Civil Engineering at Western Kentucky University.  He is the creator of the WKU Stormwater Utility Survey published yearly since 2007.  Currently his database holds information on over 1900 stormwater utilities (SWUs) in the U.S. and 100 in Canada.  Information from this database has been used and is widely cited in SWU feasibility studies for many communities, is referenced by water resources companies, local state and Federal government agencies, and non-profit organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

Dr. Campbell is active in the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) and was formerly the Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) Exam Workgroup Chair, and he served for 10 years on the Certification Board of Regents.  Sixty-four of his students are CFMs.  For his efforts he was given the ASFPM 2014 John Ivey Award for Superior Efforts in Certification.

Living in one of the major karst areas of the world, his research involves stormwater funding, karst hydrology, and the application of artificial neural networks to engineering problems.
