NRE 3150 Special Topics: Green Stormwater Infrastructure Practices

Are you interested in learning more about new approaches to stormwater management - rain gardens, pervious pavements, and green roofs? This course will cover the suite of green stormwater infrastructure practices being used to infiltrate stormwater runoff, their effectiveness, design specifications, installation processes, and maintenance practices. The course is part of a new “Environmental Corps” program at UConn, supported by a grant from NSF, which pairs classwork with practical experience: those enrolling in the spring semester will have the option of working directly with Connecticut communities on stormwater issues during the Fall semester.
